Broker or carrier — which do you want?
A carrier owns the truck and does the driving. A broker holds no trucks: they post your car to a national dispatch board and a carrier takes it. Most interstate moves go through a broker, because one carrier rarely runs the exact lane you need on the week you need it. A broker must carry a $75,000 bond; a carrier must carry cargo insurance. Check the one that applies before you pay.
